The Absurd, Revolt, and Love

At the end of my studies, I took an emotional retrospective of my academic journey. Inspired by the writings of Albert Camus and his philosophy of absurdism, I found meaning in the discomfort I experienced within the school system.

Oversized raw edge trenchoat with all over screenprinted receipts I colleced over the years in fashion school. Details of adjustable belts around the waist, the wrists and the neck. Stitched in the back the quote : "Should I kill myself or have a cup of coffee? ".

*It is a falsly attributed quote to Camus but much more powerful and known. In The Stranger of Camus, Meursault states : "Sometimes it takes more courage to live than to shoot yourself“.
